1.How is MAGBASE different from a regular cable clip?

MAGBASE uses a detachable magnetic holder and a fixed 3M adhesive base. Install the base once, then simply lift the magnetic holder off with one hand whenever you need your cable and snap it back when you're done. No repeated opening, unclipping, or forcing cables in and out of a tight slot.

2. What cable sizes does MAGBASE fit?

MAGBASE is designed to fit around 90% of everyday charging and data cables.
For round cables: approximately 5–6 mm diameter can be held directly.
For flat cables: approximately 2–3 mm thickness can be held directly.
It works well with many common phone, tablet, laptop, USB and everyday charging cables.

3. What if my cable is too thin to stay securely in place?

A cut-to-size hook-and-loop cable strap is included for exactly that reason. If your cable is thinner than the ideal fit, cut a small section and wrap it around the cable a few times to increase its thickness, then place it into MAGBASE.

4. Will the adhesive actually stay in place?

MAGBASE uses genuine 3M adhesive rather than a generic no-name adhesive pad. It is designed for stronger, more reliable long-term hold during everyday use.
For the best bond, apply MAGBASE to a clean, dry and smooth surface and press the base firmly into place before use.

5. Is the MAGBASE base magnetic or adhesive?

The base attaches to your desk, nightstand, shelf, or other surface with 3M adhesive. The magnetic connection is between the removable cable holder and the base.

6. Do I have to open the organizer every time I use my cable?

No. That's one of the main reasons MAGBASE was designed this way. Once your cable is secured in the holder, leave it there. When you need the cable, detach the entire holder from the magnetic base with one hand. When you're finished, place it back and let the magnets do the rest.

7. What surfaces work best with MAGBASE?

MAGBASE works best on clean, smooth and solid surfaces such as finished desks, nightstands, shelves, glass, metal and many car interior surfaces.
Avoid dusty, textured, oily, fabric-covered or very delicate surfaces, as adhesive performance may vary.

8. Can I remove or reposition MAGBASE?

The magnetic holder can be removed from the base as often as you like. The adhesive base, however, is intended to stay in one location.
If you need to permanently move the base, remove it slowly and use a fresh suitable adhesive pad before reinstalling. For delicate painted or coated surfaces, test in an inconspicuous area first.
